Smiling to Improve Livelihood

This project serves to support teenage mothers and their babies in having access to life’s basic needs.  According to our survey, some mothers can’t afford two meals a day, provide clothing for their babies, ante-natal requirements, and access to clean water. This leads to malnutrition in mothers and babies, yet they are not able to meet medical bills. Lack of access to clean water in close places has led to an increase in teenage pregnancy cases since young girls have to go far for it.

We receive basic requirements from friends and partners, such as food items, clothing, antenatal supplies (mama kit, baby clothes, diapers, cotton, sanitary towels), and daily items that support life, which are distributed in the communities.

We are hoping to increase access to clean water in at least 3 communities every year, provide solar lighting in at least 3 communities and support at least 5 young mothers to access a decent home to improve livelihood and reduce increased numbers of teenage pregnancies as a result of poverty.
