Position: Volunteer
Location: SAFF Center / Field Activities
Reporting To: Volunteer Coordinator / Program Manager
Purpose of the Role:
The volunteer will support SAFF’s mission of providing care, skills training, and holistic support to teenage mothers and their children. Volunteers will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment while contributing to program delivery, events, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily operations and activities of the SAFF programs, including childcare, skills training, and community events.
Support educational and recreational activities for teenage mothers and their children.
Help with preparation, organisation, and facilitation of workshops, counseling sessions, and mentorship programs.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to program participants, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
Assist in fundraising events, awareness campaigns, or outreach activities as required.
Contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for program participants.
Report observations, concerns, and progress to the Volunteer Coordinator or Program Manager.
Adhere to SAFF policies and child safeguarding guidelines at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Passion for helping teenage mothers and vulnerable children.
Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Relevant experience in childcare, education, counselling, or community service is an advantage but not mandatory.
Commitment:
Volunteers are expected to commit a minimum period of one week.
